How Does Home Staging Work?

We come to your home and start at the curb to give you a plan to present your home to potential buyers with the greatest impact. We have an initial consultation to determine what your needs are and what we will accomplish. We will come up with a plan to stage your home with your existing furnishings and make your house look like a model home. There will be a walk-through of your entire house to assess how you can use what you already have to present your house in the best possible way. We will measure your rooms, architectural features, furnishings and take photos. We will discuss paint colors, accessories, artwork, lighting, floor coverings, window treatments and traffic flow.

We will take this information to design a plan to stage your home for quick sale. We will give you a detailed list of repairs and improvements that could be essential in your resale potential. We will suggest reorganization, de-cluttering, cleaning, painting (including colors), repairing, sprucing up and accessories that may be needed to move to the next step. This is your “honey-do” list. This step is up to you to implement. You decide much time and expense you want to invest in this step. You may make the improvements yourself, with family and friends, or hire independent trades people. “The Decorating Bee” will work within your time allotment and budget.

Once we have assessed the strengths and weaknesses, formulated a plan and implemented improvements “The Decorating Bee” will return to put the plan together. We will rearrange furniture, place artwork, lighting, floor coverings, and accessories to show your home to appeal to the most buyers. We will take your home to the next level and a leap above the competition.

Fees for 3 rooms are as follows:

Initial Consultation-Included

Staging- $375

(Includes Consultation & Written Proposal)

Each additional room staged at same time as 3 room staging - $75

 Staging of one room only - $175
